Made from 12mm (1/2") strapping, the gullet safety strap is attached to the underside of the noseband and the throatlatch. It is designed to prevent the bridle from being accidentally pulled (or rubbed) off.  It includes a dee ring, which sits on the noseband end so that a lead rope can be attached when required.
